Review: Critique Services by Jenny Lynn Pease

Need of an extra set of eyes on your picture book manuscript? Jenny's got you covered with affordable critique service packages.

If you're active in the #KidLit community on Twitter, you've probably interacted with Jenny (@kidlitjenny) at some point. She's the host of #KidLitCritiqueDay and publishes fantastic interviews with traditionally published picture book authors in her #ChatWithThePBLady series.

As if that weren't enough, she also offers critique services for picture book writers.

I recently won a critique from Jenny, and right away I was super impressed with her communication. She reached out to me immediately, and once I sent her my manuscript she had it back in my hands in under 24 hours with specific feedback. Her comments were straightforward and kind, and she made some great suggestions that helped with the pacing and flow of the story.

So why pay for a critique service? There are many reasons. Sometimes you have a story that you think is "done" but just want an extra set of eyes on it. Maybe you and your critique group can't quite figure out what isn't working and you need a different perspective. Or perhaps you want someone to look at your work before you send it to your regular critique group. There are many paid services out there- but Jenny's price is hard to beat.

If you're in the market for a critique service, I recommend Jenny. Hop over to her website or twitter page for details on her critique services, including a limited time discount on her 6-month package!
